Muldai View Point Trek, aka Mulde Trekking, is an excellent opportunity to get surrounded by the splendid mountain scenery formed by the mighty glaciers and ice walls of the Himalayan chain. Muldai View trek leads you through the passage adjacent to the shady mountain forests, tall rhododendron trees, impressive local villages, and valleys.

Located next to the Dobato village, at an altitude of 3637 m, Muldai View Point lies in the Annapurna conservation area. The route passes through tourist Mecca Pokhara, Gurung village Ghandruk, Tadapani, and Dobato village. Muldai View Point Trek Detail Itinerary

  • Day 01: Kathmandu Arrival

    After arriving at Tribhuwan International airport, our team will welcome you and transfer you to your lodging, a 3-star luxurious and reputed hotel in Kathmandu. We will discuss the Muldai View Point Trek in detail. You can then spend your spare time exploring the city.

  • Day 02: Kathmandu to Pokhara Drive

    After breakfast, our allocated staff will drive you from Kathmandu to the tourist haven Pokhara early in the morning. After approximately 6 to 7 hrs of driving, you will reach Pokhara.

    However, if you don’t want to waste your day on the road drive and make your trip shorter, with an additional payment of USD 120, we can arrange a domestic flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara. You will stay at 3-star accommodation in Pokhara.

  • Day 03: Drive to Ghandruk (Bus/Jeep) and Trek to Tadapani

    After a heart-content breakfast, you will commence your journey with a drive by jeep or bus to the village of Ghandruk. The road is a gentle drop passing through pine and rhododendron forests. After passing Deurali, Tolka, the village of Ghandruk, will be visible. With just 1 hour 35 minutes, you will reach this village.

    This Gurung village is located against the southern Annapurna massif and Mount Hiunchuli. The houses are made of stone roofs, retaining their ancient architectural style.

    After refreshment in the village lodge, you will begin your Muldai View Point Trek. The melodious chirping of birds accompanies the path through the thick forest. From Tadapani, you can have arresting views of Annapurna and Fishtail mountains.

  • Day 04: Trek to Dobato

    Get ready for a 4 to 5 hours hike today as you cross many ascents and descents. Contrary to belief, the ascent and descents are not strenuous and are pleasant to walk. From this small village also you can marvel at the fascinating scenery of these mountains. You will stay at the teahouse lodge and spend the night.

  • Day 05: Trek to Muldai View Point and back to Dobato and trek to Ghorepani

    Today is a special day when you can observe the most appealing sunrise. You will begin your 45 minutes trek early in the morning to climb the Muldai peak. From the top, you can see the Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Lamjung Himal, and many more painted in the golden lights by the first rays of the sun.

    After breakfast, you will commence your hike to Dobato and Ghorepani. After the steep climb to the Deurali Pass, you will reach Ghorepani and spend the night at the teahouse lodge.

  • Day 06: Trek to Poon Hill and back to Ghorepani and trek to Hile, and drive back to Pokhara

    You will depart early to the Poon Hill View Point at an altitude of 3210 m. A 40-minute climb will take you to this unique viewpoint, where you will again witness the mesmerizing sunrise and 11 snow-capped mountain peaks side by side, including Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, and Tukuche Dhampus Peak, and Gurkha Himal.

    Descend to reach Ghorepani, where you will have breakfast. Then you will hike along the descent, taking you to Hile. It’s a small village away from the hustle and bustle. Lying silently in the serenity, it is the perfect place to enjoy peace and calmness.

    After some rest, you will return to Pokhara, where you will spend the rest of the day at a 3-star hotel.

  • Day 07: Drive back to Kathmandu (Flight – additional USD 120)

    Early in the morning, you will return to the capital. With an additional USD 120, you can fly from Kathmandu to reach Pokhara within 35 minutes. Spend the afternoon shopping and relaxing in ancient yet modern Kathmandu city.

Currently, these villages have many hotels of various categories, from standard teahouses to luxury hotels. They provide a room with attached bathrooms and hot showers. These luxurious rooms are available in Ghorepani and Ghandruk villages.

The rooms are simple but clean, comfortable, and functional. Rooms usually have single beds with comfortable sheets, pillows, and duvets. They are decent enough with paid amenities of internet, hot shower, and charging of your electrical devices.

The same lodge will also serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They mainly serve the Nepalese national dish of Dal, Vat, and tarkari (Lentil, Rice, and vegetable curry). You can also enjoy savory continental European dishes such as pasta, momos, spaghetti, soups, etc.

    We strongly advise you to purchase a SIM card for reliable internet access throughout Nepal. Nepal Telecom (owned by the government) and NCELL (owned by the private sector) are the two main SIM card providers in Nepal. It is preferable to get a SIM card at an airport, where staff will assist with activation and data plan purchases. If you have a SIM card, it will be easier for you to contact us and locate our airport agent.

    You can charge your electrical devices at hotels and lodges because there are no power outages. In the Himalayan region, however, hotel owners may levy a nominal fee.

    Best time to visit Muldai View Point

    Muldai View Point Trek can be called a timeless trek as you can carry out this trip all year round. Since the altitude is below 4000 m, the climate and weather are predictable, calm, and serene.

    However, the spring months of March, April, and May and the autumn months of September, October, and November are the most favorable times to enjoy the sunrise and sunset at Muldai Peak. Due to the alteration between seasons, this time of the year features calm, clear, blue skies and cool yet warm air. You can have an unchained view of the mountains.

    The summer months from June to August are the monsoon season in Nepal, characterized by heavy rainfalls and landslides. But the track to the Muldai View Point is well developed, so there is less risk. If you are okay with getting wet or trekking carrying an umbrella, you can also carry out this trek in the monsoon.

    The winter months from December to February can be pretty cold, unlike in the higher Himalayas. The average temperature can vary between 10 to 15 degrees, so it is pretty agreeable to do this trek during winter.
