To stay hydrated throughout the Luxury Everest Base Camp Trek, you must consume enough Water. The teahouses will also offer us two cups of tea or coffee daily. The delicious Himalayan sheep milk in the tea will give you a fantastic mood throughout the Trek. The lodges and teahouses in the Everest Region will also be able to provide drinking water. Drinking water costs about $1 or less for each bottle.
The breakfast will also feature tea and coffee. Since coffee isn’t considered great for trekking, you might use lemon tea or ginger and honey as an alternative. You may also have light refreshments while gazing at the mountains. However, the package includes two cups of tea and a water bottle.
We plan to enjoy a lovely breakfast and a cup of tea as the sun rises in the morning. After breakfast, we will continue our Trek over the trails connecting settlements, through rhododendron woods, and over mountains and Himalayas that touch the sky. After a three-hour trek, we’ll stop at one of the teahouses for lunch. Or we’ll also be eating in one of the Lodges. We will then continue our Trek with the guides accompanying us. We will trek appropriately while enjoying the incredible scenery, smells, and sounds.
We will stop at one of the lodges or teahouses in the evening. While waiting for dinner, we will have snacks, play cards, read stories, and chat with our guides and other travellers. We will also have dinner with classic Nepali food or another continental, Tibetan, or Indian dish. We will plan our next day’s trek before retiring and then go to bed.
While on a luxury Everest Base Camp Trek, there are several necessary safety precautions in order of importance. The biggest problem with trekking beyond 3000 meters above sea level is altitude sickness.
To overcome this issue, drinking plenty of Water, eating plenty of food, and having an acclimatization day when trekking is very important. Similar safety measures will work to eliminate altitude sickness. The same goes for making sure your body is as hydrated as possible.
The same goes for being ready physically and psychologically before trekking. Since the porters and guides will both do their best to assist you, they will be kind and spend quality time with you throughout the Trek, spreading good energy.
The expedition may be cut short in an incredible way by using a helicopter to fly back. After finishing the Luxury Everest Base Camp Trek, you can take a helicopter back to base camp. You may descend to the Gorakshep after overcoming the Kala Patthar, which rises to 5455 meters. Instead of returning on foot, you can take a helicopter directly from Gorakshep to Lukla.
You can see several mountains from the aircraft, including Kanchenjunga, Makalu, Everest, and Lhotse. Like the Helicopter ride, the Luxury Base Camp Trek will be shortened from 4 days to 1 day by returning to Lukla through this incredible flight.
To make it longer, Gokyo and Cho La Pass trek may be added to the luxury Everest Base Camp Trek. The Luxury Everest Base Camp Trek itinerary will include two additional days for these trekking destinations. You will take a northern part of a small trail that will lead to the Cho La Pass after returning from Kalapathhar to Gorakshep.
Due to the Trek’s elevation above 5000 meters, it will be a bit difficult. You can see Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and Cho Oyu at 5420 meters from this location. You will continue your Trek downhill toward Gokyo, past several glaciers; the ascent from here will be tricky.
Trekking beneath the sky-touching mountains and across the pristine glaciers will be an incredible adventure. At 5360 meters above sea level, you will indeed arrive at the Gokyo. Ascending from here, you will reach Namche Bazaar and return to Lukla.
You can get Gokyo Lakes and Chola Pass Trek by this link: https://peregrinetreks.com/gokyo-cho-la-pass-trekking. Should you opt for this package, we shall ensure opulent accommodations in Lukla, Phakding, and Namche. You can anticipate the finest lodgings with en-suite facilities at various locations except Gorak Shep. We remain at your service for any inquiries about this remarkable trek.
You can fly via domestic aeroplane from Kathmandu to Lukla and from Lukla to Kathmandu. The flight time connecting Kathmandu and Lukla will be approximately 30 and 35 minutes. You will see stunning hillside greenery during the flight and distant Alps views. Tara Air, Sita Air, and Summit Air are just a few of the flights that fall under the category of Dornier aircraft.
The flight will be incredibly adventurous since you’ll arrive at Tenzing Hillary Airport in Lukla, one of the world’s most dangerous airports.
Delay or cancellation of Kathmandu- Lukla-Kathmandu due to unfavourable weather conditions and unexpected natural disasters can occur. In this case, we try our best to manage the appropriate time for the flight, pre-checking upon weather conditions. You must prepare your trip with buffer days if you get stuck due to a flight delay to Lukla.
During peak seasons, it’s important to note that direct flights from Kathmandu to Lukla may not always be available. In such instances, we have devised an alternative arrangement to ensure your seamless journey. This entails organizing a flight from Ramechhap to Lukla and back, complemented by ground transportation to and from Ramechhap.
In the event of this scenario, we recommend commencing your drive from Kathmandu to Ramechhap at 2 AM, allowing you to catch the earliest available flight to Lukla. This strategic approach ensures that you embark on your adventure with efficiency and minimal disruptions.
If you are stuck at Lukla or anywhere on the days of your trek, we have a Heli rescue facility. The cost will be around USD 4500-5000, which can lift four people per flight.
Suppose you change your mind about the Everest Base Camp trek due to flight cancellation. In that case, you can choose an alternative expedition to the Langtang region, Annapurna region, Makalu- Barun region, or any viable destination you wish. If you are still up with your Everest plan, we welcome you to stay in Kathmandu until you fly to Lukla and start the trek.
We do not offer any refund for the services (such as hotel, transport, aviation, etc.) included in the package that you would not use later. Apart from this, Peregrine Treks and Tours make this trip the best trip of your life. We believe in providing quality service along with well-trained, quality professional guides.
We will offer accommodations at the Yeti Mountain Home or a similar establishment of high standards in Lukla, Phakding, and Namche. However, luxurious lodges are unavailable beyond Namche, so you must stay at basic guesthouses or teahouses. In Gorakshep, the guesthouses do not have attached bathrooms, so you will need to use a standard room for one night. We will provide the best lodge with a European-style bathroom for the remaining locations.
Yes, the hotels/lodges have electricity, allowing you to charge your electronic devices. However, please note that a small fee might be associated with using the charging facilities.
This trek is classified as moderate in terms of difficulty. Our team of experienced and well-trained Sherpa guides will make the journey easier for you. You will be walking for approximately 6-7 hours each day.
No special training is required for this trek. However, it is recommended that you engage in activities such as jogging, swimming, and other physical exercises at least one month before the trek. This will help prepare your body for the physical demands of the journey.
Due to the high altitude and limited medical facilities during the trek, ensuring your safety is paramount. We will provide a comprehensive medical kit that will be carried by our guide, who is well-trained in its usage. However, in the worst-case scenario, we have arrangements for helicopter rescue services. You must have full insurance coverage to avail yourself of this service if needed. Your safety and well-being are our top priorities.
You can safely store your luggage at the Kathmandu Hotel or Peregrine Trek’s office. Rest assured that both locations provide secure storage facilities. During the trek, we will provide you with a waterproof duffle bag for carrying your essential items. Any unnecessary belongings can be left behind in Kathmandu with confidence.
WiFi is available in the lodges, allowing you to stay connected during your stay. However, please note that a small fee might be associated with using the WiFi service. In certain areas, you may also have access to mobile internet, providing an alternative option for staying connected during your trek.
Hot water showers are available during the trek, allowing you to freshen up along the way. However, it is not recommended to take showers at higher altitudes after Namche due to the potential effects of the altitude on your body. Instead, we suggest using wet wipes to clean your body, which will help you stay refreshed during the trek without exposing yourself to potential risks.
To book the trek, please follow these steps:

Excellent
Trekking up to Everest Base Camp was challenging but much more satisfying and beyond my expectations. I communicated first class with Pradip, who organized this Luxury Everest Base Camp Trek. I had an excellent trekking guide named Chetup Sherpa, who looked after my ups and downs throughout the trek. He kept me informed about the Trekking distance to be covered, height to be ascended, and altitude to be reached daily, keeping me safe.
I will surely return to Nepal and have another adventure with Peregrine Trek. Accommodation in Lukla, Phakding, and Namche was terrific. From Namche, lodges are good, with attached bathrooms, hot water for showers, and WiFi for accessible communication with my family. The rooms of Everest View Hotel were terrific, and it’s beyond my imagination.
Namaste!!
Excellent
I had a fabulous time. Excellent guide and porters, lovely group, fabulous scenery, and people. I’m over 50, though, and I had never been trekking. Although I did a lot of walking in preparation, what really would have helped most would have been daily going up and down your stairs as much as I could bear. Hill and mountain hiking is a great idea. Also, doing daily is good preparation as you’re doing it daily on the trek. Well worth it, though.
Excellent
I’m fortunate to have the opportunity to admire the Everest region from every angle in a luxurious way. Luxury Everest Base Camp Trek is a complete experience and well-satisfying satisfaction. Eating outstanding cuisine while enjoying the view from the Everest View Hotel was a fantastic experience. The trek up Kalapathhar cliff was also exciting, even though I was freezing from the altitude. I had an entirely different perspective on the Khumbu Region when I stepped up there. Throughout that, the exquisite accommodation and meals along the trek were the main thing I will never forget. This experience left a lasting impression on my heart, and I will try it again.
Excellent
From Pheriche, the breathtaking perspective of the northern side highlands was astounding. If I ever get the opportunity to visit there, I would dearly enjoy conversing with the gracious Sherpas again. The interactions with the locals were excellent, and I discovered a lot about their history. During my Everest Base Camp Luxury Lodge trek, the monasteries surrounding Pangboche and Tengboche lit my heart. More than that, I’ll never forget eating foreign and native Nepali cuisine while gazing northward at the stunning Makalu and Cho Oyu peaks. Overall, this expedition was a top-notch experience for me, and I will always be thankful to Peregrine Treks & Tours for providing me with this incredible adventure.
Excellent
A truly unforgettable journey to Everest Base Camp Luxury Lodge Trek. During the preparation phase, Pradip from Peregrine Treks and Tours responded quickly and accurately to our questions. We were cautious because we were accompanying our pre-teen and adolescent children. The quoted pricing was competitive. We arrived and had a nearly faultless tour. Our tour leaders and porters were fantastic. They catered to all of our needs and were always willing to help. I can’t say enough good things about Pradip and our guides, Nima and Pasang. Our porters, Tek, Dhiraj, and Suresh, were also excellent. The entire team kept our children (Aged 11 and 13) and us safe and entertained throughout the journey.
Excellent
After reading numerous testimonials on TourRadar, I opted to take my Luxury Everest Base Camp Trek with Peregrine, and it was the best decision I could have made. Before I arrived in Nepal, Pradip answered my questions without hesitation. Nima, our guide, and Tekendra, our porter, were friendly and helpful, going out of their way to help us. This collaborative effort resulted in the best 15 days possible.
Very Good
We hired Peregrine Treks and Tours for four persons for a 15-day Luxury Everest Base Camp Trek. 4-6 persons are the maximum number of people you should go hiking with since you would be waiting behind the others. It takes a lot of walking and trekking up and down mountains, but the experience is priceless. Pasang, our guide, was an excellent choice; despite being a little difficult to understand at times, he blended in with our group and became a team member.
Excellent
I did not anticipate that the helicopter flight from Everest Base Camp to Kathmandu would be so stunning. Ama Dablam, Makalu, Kanchenjunga, Nuptse, Lhotse, and Cho Oyu were all visible from the helicopter. The adventure’s highlight was traveling through the quaint Sherpa hamlet. Their culture and heritage were exceptional, but what captivated me was that most of their family members were either engaged in trekking or agricultural pursuits. The Tengboche’s tranquil atmosphere and the Phakding lush surroundings were both excellent. I reached the trek’s highest point, Kalapathhar, by following our guide’s lead (5,545m).
Excellent
During my enjoyable holiday, the luxurious Everest Base Camp trek was a pleasure for me. I urge travelers to Nepal to attempt this once. The trail led us to the majestic destination, passing by Rhododendron woodland and low-lying clouds. Since there will be few ATMs or banks in the Everest region, I kindly ask that you exchange your local money in Kathmandu. I’ll never forget the fresh yak milk tea that went along with it. Rare plants and animals were abundant in the rainforest, stretching from Namche Bazaar to Pangboche. The spectacular stone-paved trail and waterfalls in the Khumbu Region enhanced the feeling of excitement.
Excellent
It was an exciting flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. Likewise, Flying above the magnificent vegetation of central and eastern Nepal was mesmerizing. Being on the brink of Mount Everest was a fantastic experience for us. The finest experience I’ve ever had was ascending the cliff face of Everest Base Camp. The view of the Khumbu Glaciers and other snowy Himalayas from the Kalapathhar was refreshing. Upon returning to Lukla, I reminisced on my excellent accommodation and food on the trek. The picturesque Namche Bazaar hamlet reminded me of the ancient Himalayan village in Japanese classic films. The luxurious Everest Base Camp excursion, as a whole, was the most beneficial for me.
Excellent
Since I returned from my first trek in Nepal in April, I have been swamped. Indeed, the hustle and bustle of life here starkly contrast with the tranquility I experienced in the mountains. It makes me even more nostalgic about my trek with Nima as our guide.
Like many people who have not been to Nepal, I was looking forward to basking in the beauty of the majestic Himalayan mountains. No doubt, I saw the majestic Himalayan Mountains, but what left me with deep impressions were the people I met. From the point we reached the airport, we felt the warmth of Nepali hospitality. We were treated more like friends rather than just mere visitors.
As friends, we had the privilege to hear his views on the political situation from our trekking guide, Nima, and we saw his passion for his country and his hope for the future. During the Luxury Everest Base Camp Trek, while we saw many porters carrying loads many times their weight, I also saw the resilience of the people, which is like the Himalayan Mountains that stood firm and sturdy in whatever weather conditions. On our day of departure, Pradip came down to fetch us to the airport, even though he did not have much sleep as he was trying to help his friend the night before. I saw his dedication to his work and his kindness to his friend.
Through all these that I saw, I couldn’t help but pray, “God, this is a wonderful country with wonderful people. May God bring to these countries capable leaders who love the people and who will bring the country to the heights of the Himalayan Mountains.” God bless Nepal!
Excellent
Our journey to EBC was a fantastic experience, and as a family of five ranging in age from 16 to 60, we were exceptionally well cared for; it was difficult, but we could not fault the experience.
Excellent
When I discovered this local travel specialist, I was skeptical that they could keep their claims. Most of the treks I discovered were double the price, and the services appeared almost equal. After reading positive evaluations, I decided to take a chance. I’m SO HAPPY I CHOSEN Pradip and this local travel expert! He was responsive, met me at the hotel when I arrived to check the plan and worked tirelessly with me to overcome travel obstacles caused by monsoon weather.
NIMA IS FANTASTIC! He is an exceptional guide who got me to Base Camp despite numerous obstacles with the weather and my condition. I cannot recommend these people highly enough and Luxury Everest Base Camp Trek. It would be wise to spend less on inferior goods.
Excellent
Pradip is a living legend. He suggested a fantastic route and was extremely reasonable in his cost. He stayed in touch with me from the moment I arrived in Kathmandu from Germany till the very end of my journey. I recommend Peregrine Treks because of their education, fairness, and, most significantly, their excellent character.
Excellent
I had excellent information about what to do and bring from the day I booked my Luxury Everest Base Camp Trip; from the airport, they picked me up and gave me a two-night free 5-star hotel to stay in Kathmandu; on the Trek, I had an excellent guild who looked after me every second of the day, like my dad, ok the Trek is long days of walking, but that’s what you signed up for, great experience.
