Food, Meals, and Drinks on Annapurna Base Camp Trek and Helicopter Return

Annapurna Base Camp Trek and Helicopter Return package include breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We can assure you with a healthy meal, but varieties on the menu could be a little difficult option at an altitude. Depending on what elevation we spent our night in and what kind of accommodation you will have to adapt to the food culture. We highly suggest you take vegetarian meals at higher altitudes because most people in tea houses/lodges have organic gardens. Moreover, the meat they provide is carried from Pokhara or nearby cities, which takes several days to reach. So not neglecting the quality and freshness, it would be good for health to have a vegetarian diet during the trek.

During Annapurna Base Camp Trek and Helicopter Return package, you can carry nuts, energy snacks, and other healthy components while walking. But make sure you bring all your trash with you and dispose of it in the proper bin area. When trekking to a higher elevation, your body needs to be hydrated to avoid altitude sickness. Drink plenty of boiled water or sanitized water. Alcohol consumption is dangerous at altitude, as it dehydrates your body and makes you prone to altitude sickness.

    Physical Condition & Experience Requirements

Annapurna Base Camp Trek and Helicopter Return is a moderate-level trek. A trekker has to walk six to seven hours per day during the whole trek, which is considered normal. This walking hour might be reasonable for regular trekkers, whereas, for beginners, it might be a little difficult at higher altitudes. Before starting the trek, you can prepare your body by exercising daily, jogging, and going on weekly hikes. If a person is self-motivated, passionate, and confident enough to maintain their fitness and positive attitude, they can do the ABC trek easily.

Peregrine requests its clients to mention their medical conditions while filling out their forms. We will have to arrange the services accordingly. Ensure you carry your required medicines throughout the trip, as all medicine may not be available in high-altitude rural areas. Moreover, we request you consult with your doctors if any diseases or health issues could be prone to high altitude. We strongly recommend such people take care of their health first.

    Best Time to Travel

The utmost suitable season for Annapurna Base Camp Trek and Helicopter Return is Autumn (September, October, and November) and spring (March, April, and May). The Autumn and spring season will greet you with crystal clear sky and the blooming of multi-colored rhododendron flowers. Winter (December, January, and February) is perfect for you if you like less crowded. The only withdrawing factor for this season is the severe cold weather, which can be solved by carrying proper winter gear. Similarly, if you are a keen botanist or an avid plant lover, the summer or monsoon season (June, July, and August) is your season. Wear proper rain gear and go through it.

Generally, we provide one professional trekking guide for a group below six in number. Upon request, we give a porter who can carry the luggage of two trekkers. However, the maximum weight a porter can carry is 25 kg. So, ensure that a trekker can only carry luggage of a maximum of 12.5 kg or below. If the group of trekkers is between 6 to 10, we provide an assistant guide. At the same time, one trip leader will provide a group of more than ten for the smooth functioning of the trek. We even have professional female trekking guides and crew members for female travelers. You can mention the form when booking if you require a female crew.

    Drinking Water Options and Arrangements

Packaged drinking water is in abundance in the Annapurna region trek. Although we suggest, you are an eco-friendly and responsible trekker. You can easily carry a single-use personal water bottle and refill it when possible. Water-purifying tablets are readily available at any pharmacy. You can also pay a few amounts and drink boiled water when available.

    Buy Travel Insurance

Before starting your Annapurna Base Camp Trek and Helicopter Return package, you must have travel insurance. Travel insurance should cover air ambulance, emergency helicopter rescue, and medical expenses. Peregrine Trek and Tour do not provide any insurance. Price of this Trek

This Annapurna Base Camp Trek with a return by Helicopter package price is based on five people. If you are less number, you need to add some amounts. For example, if you are one person, you need to add USD 1000; if you are two people, you need to add US$ 500 per person; if you are three people, you need to add USD 350 per person; and if you are four people, you need to add US$ 250 per person. Annapurna Base Camp Trek with Helicopter Return

We booked the ABC trek with Peregrine Treks. After we landed in Kathmandu, Peregrine Treks escorted us to this newly opened hotel: Kathmandu Suite, which was very good. Peregrine Treks provided us with Sonam and Raju as our guides and porter for our trek. They were so helpful, friendly, and caring. Sonam tried his 200% to keep us safe from any sickness. The food, accommodation, people, and culture were very memorable. I am glad to choose Nepal and Peregrine Treks.

Harder the trail and worthier the experience

The more complex the trail, the worthier the experience. I found the trials of ABC challenging. There were thousands of stone-laid steps, highs, and lows. However, walking through those paths was worth it in front of ABC’s natural beauty. The weather favored me, so I could easily see the mountain ranges, which was unforgettable. Thank you, Peregrine Treks, for providing your best services. I strongly recommend it!
