    Essential Information

    Weather

As you know, Nepal is a Himalayan country so that the climate might change. We need to be ready for all weather conditions. As our itinerary is prepared by caring about acclimatization, we can risk altitude sickness and oxygen deprivation while on this trek. Please be aware that we will not continue our trip to the Himalayas if it does not seem right, and we must descend to a lower altitude.

    Drones in Nepal

Please be aware that drones and flying drones are prohibited in Nepal. If you violate this regulation, the police may take you into custody.

    Meals included

Having a great meal is a vital part of a successful trip. With Peregrine Treks and Tour, you will experience the world’s vast array of unique foods. When there are various feeding options, it gives you more flexibility in deciding whatever you want to eat. The varieties of foods are readily available in Nepal and are not so expensive.

Our group has a trend of having a meal together; then, we can have a lot. Vegetarians can get different dishes in restaurants, but there may be a limit in some hotels. While trekking in remote areas, you can get fresh ingredients.

    Local Flights

You must take all your documents with you; a passport is needed for flights. Many times, domestic flights get many issues like delays. All local flights are not included in the cost of your tour unless otherwise noted.

    Solo Travelers

Our itinerary and group are designed to share our accommodation, communication, and other comfortable requirements. So, single travelers have to pay more than others. Individual travelers participating in group trips are joined in twin or multi-share settlements with someone of the same gender to continue the journey. Some of our individualistic trips are created differently, and single travelers on these plans must pay the individual trip price.

    Accommodation

There is a perfect combination of Hotels, guest houses, and social hangouts in tea houses. You can get private rooms in the many tea houses except at a higher altitude. In higher elevations, there will be just essential reasonably necessary. The office will be designed and clean, with two beds and miniature furniture.

The attached bathroom can’t be available, and toilets can be either squat or Western style; the main thing about the house is that they use only running water, so there is no warm water for bathing or other purposes. If you want to take a bath with hot water, you have to pay for it. However, we control our groups using water heated with wood, as there is no lack of wood in Nepal.

There is no light in the village, and if you want to charge your mobile, camera, and other gadgets, you have to pay for them. A warmed Bukhara stove dining room is decorated with a large dining table.

We will have only breakfast and dinner at tea houses; lunch will be eaten at one of the trailside restaurants. We will get traditional Nepali dishes such as Dal Bhat ( Rice and Lentils) and other varieties like vegetables, salads, pasta, potatoes, noodles, sandwiches, soup, etc. You can get all Western food in restaurants, like pizza, momos, burgers, French fries, and many more.

You can also order soft drinks, beers, and snacks according to your tea houses and restaurants’ choice. We discourage the buying of bottled water while on the way. It is prohibited to throw plastic bottles in many areas of Nepal because it causes environmental problems.

What to bring for Nepal Trekking Tour

It depends on your choice of itinerary and the weather. If you want to carry your luggage, pack light clothes and gear. You only have to pack light clothes and the weight of bags between 10-15 kg. The suitcase is not recommended for this trip.

All travelers feel comfortable with a small size, so we recommend carrying a medium-sized backpack and a day pack to carry cameras, water, and other electronic gadgets. While trekking, porters are assigned to carry a bag of only two travelers. You can leave some of your unnecessary clothes and luggage in hotel rooms. But you have to pay some charges.

    Important Note:
    • The weather in the Himalayan region is unpredictable, so layered clothing is recommended throughout the year.
    • You have to choose a backpack to carry your gear and clothes yourself.
    • You need to bring a daypack to carry your electronic things.

    Laundry

Laundry is essential while trekking, so we have the facilities, but it takes some charge. Sometimes, you have to, or you may want to do your laundry, so we suggest you not bring polluting/biodegradable soap.

Visa and Entry Requirements for the Nepal Trekking Tour

Nepal offers two main options for obtaining a visa: on arrival or through a Nepalese embassy/consulate in your home country. There are no third-party websites for processing Nepal visas.

Eligible nationalities can obtain on-arrival visas upon entering Nepal at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) or designated checkpoints. However, it’s important to check beforehand if your nationality qualifies for on-arrival visas and for what duration (typically 15, 30, or 90 days). These visas are usually multiple-entry and can be extended within Nepal if necessary. When opting for on-arrival, ensure you have the visa fee in cash (USD preferred), proof of onward travel, and travel insurance covering medical emergencies.

For more control over the process and potentially obtaining longer durations, you can apply online through the official Nepal Immigration website (https://nepaliport.immigration.gov.np/onlinevisa-mission/application). This option allows selecting your embassy/consulate, nationality, and desired visa type. Remember, the application website only serves as a starting point. You’ll still need to submit your application and required documents to the chosen Nepalese embassy/consulate.

    Trip Notes
    • Given the special memory of the Himalayas, beautiful nature, warm love of Nepalese, unique traditions, and culture, we have established an excellent standard in trekking. It is challenging to climb upward and downward hills, but it is suitable for healthy people with mature minds and hearts.
    • Walking at your pace- slow and steady- is the way to go. Being fit or unfit is not the priority; it depends on how you control yourself and deal with altitude. If you try to walk fast and don’t care about your pace, you will be affected by nausea, vomiting, and splitting headaches.
    • You have to stroll, rest, stand by, take a deep breath, and then wherever you go, you feel good. We and our guides will be there for you to make your trip extraordinary. Note that the sun is intense, so you must wear sunglasses and sun cream. If you feel cold, then immediately wear some layers. Don’t wait to get chillier.

    Spending Money

Spending habits might be different for different people. Some may love expensive dishes and drinks, but others like a simple one. You must pay the amount according to your shopping, eating, and tipping desires.

    Emergency Fund

Please ensure you have access to at least USD 200 for emergency cases. You can use that money when circumstances are outside your control (for example, Natural disasters). This is a rare phenomenon!

    Tipping

It thinks you have a generous and kind heart if you give some tips that help you. Tipping is a way of showing satisfaction with the person who has assisted you on your tour. Although it is not compulsory, it is hope for many people who take care of the trip.

You will get several chances to give tips to your local guides and drivers. The tipping amount for guides and drivers would range from US$5-10 per person per day. The tipping amount depends upon the quality of health and service you provide. Porters are the main person who helps you while trekking, so you have to give some tips to porters.

    Health

When you travel, you have first to concern yourself with your doctor. If you take some medicines or pills, we need your medical perspective. You have to consult your doctor for up-to-date medical travel information before departure. Please carry your first aid kit, wipes, sanitizers, and other medical requirements.

Many Nepalese pharmacies may not be available for the same medicines you have used in the West. But if you inform the full name of the drug, we can arrange it for you. When selecting your itineraries and trip, be careful about your health situation. If you have heart disease and cold dishes, you cannot trek in the Himalayas area or be careful.

    Safety and Security

We recommend you check your government advice before traveling to Nepal. Most of the time, you will be with your responsible tour guide. Wandering alone is not recommended in the city and trekking areas. It will help keep your cash, passport, cheques, tickets, and other valuable items safe.

It is a great plan to use a money belt or neck wallet while traveling. You have to leave your jewelry at home; it is not necessary while going. Hotels have many secure boxes to keep your valuable things, luggage, and other things. A locked box is the safest place while on a trip.

You will be with us in every activity. On tour, you will have free time to pursue your interests and leisurely explore. Please use proper consideration when choosing an event during your free time. Nepal’s cities are safe nowadays, but there may be risks of many crimes at night.

So we suggest you always stay in a group and travel by taxi to and from restaurants or during night excursions. There may be a chance of protests and demonstrations in many areas that can turn peace into violence with no warning.

Action by government security forces to disperse demonstrations and protests may occur. If you are in the area of Demonstrators or protesters gathering around you, inform us we will be there to pick you up. Don’t stay there to see the fights and take photos; it will be your foolish thing.

Water activities are one of the most dangerous elements while trekking. You have no right to get involved in any water activities until you don’t get permission from your guide. We will have reasonable adventure and fun in the water activities, but it could be dangerous if you do it yourself.

Our policy is not to allow our guide(s) to make arrangements on your behalf for water based activities that are not accompanied by guides. Activities like swimming and snorkeling are always at your own risk. We take all those prudent measures for your safety.

    A couple of Rules

Processing or using drugs is not tolerated on any trip. Using illegal drugs not only contravenes the nation’s law but puts the group at risk. Smoking opium and marijuana is part of local culture in some of the world’s elements, but it is unacceptable in our country.

Our travel philosophy says to respect everyone we encounter; all local people will make you feel like a god. Because in our country, there is a belief that guests are gods. So please don’t do any illegal activities. Our CEO members have the full right to expel any group members if they are found with drugs or engaging in other criminal activities.

    Local Dress

Pack lightweight, long, loose clothing that keeps you fresh when packing the clothes. We recommend you dress respectfully and avoid shorts/skirts and tank tops/singlets when visiting religious sites.

    Incredible Tour and Trek

We appreciate Pradip’s help in organizing this Nepal Trekking Tour and communicating with us at every stage. Throughout the journey, our driver and guardian angel Krishna was with us, and it was from him that we learned a lot about Nepal. The difference was entirely due to his interest and excitement!

We particularly enjoyed learning about the Newari culture and the town of Bhaktapur in Kathmandu. Pohkara was also a lot of fun, and exploring Ghandruk’s trails was fantastic. Our local guide, Lhakpa, introduced us to several tiny local foods we would have never found because he knew we were interested in eating authentic local cuisine. We adored it.

We stayed close to the action this time and had a great time rafting on the whitewater with a friendly group. The following time, Peregrine and I want to travel further afield and explore new places!

My visit to Nepal was fantastic.

Throughout my stay there, Pradip Karki was always available to provide for my every need. He was a person of warmth, professionalism, and dependability. His drivers and tour guides were all top-notch. Nima, my sherpa on my hike in Ghandruk, was excellent; we worked well together. He is dependable and, more importantly, a good man.

I discovered a great deal about your exceptional nation and its people. I enjoyed this Nepal Trekking Tour and sharing those unique experiences with all of you.

The best experience we had with Peregrine was the whole tour of the Annapurna Base Camp Trek was tailor-made for our requirements; all our requests were reviewed, discussed, and accepted and, in some instances, with a better recommendation.
