Day 01: Arrival at Tribhuban International Airport

The Airport Representative of Peregrine Treks will receive you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel. The itinerary and travel plan will be discussed with the tour leader and the trekking guides of the Peregrine Treks. Familiarization activities will take place.

Day 02: Kathmandu to Lukla by flight and trek to Phakding

An early morning flight will take you to Lukla, the most extreme airport globally, The Tenzing-Hillary Airport. The joyous mountain flight of about 30 minutes provides spectacular mountain views and the hilly terrain of Nepal. Then three hours of walking on the trail, passing by the splendid landscape of the Everest region, will take you to Phakding.

Day 03: Trek from Phakding to Namche

The trekking from Phakding to Namche Bazaar consists of slight uphill and everyday trail walking, and you should be prepared for the total uphill after lunch in Jorsalle. Accommodation

When exploring Kathmandu, you will be lodged in an exceptional 3-star hotel with double/twin rooms. For the trekking part of the journey, we will arrange comfortable accommodation in standard lodges or tea houses along the track.

The rooms in these local lodges are kept clean and equipped with the necessities such as beds, tables, and chairs. However, we strongly advise bringing your sleeping bag to ensure maximum comfort at these facilities. The bedding is changed regularly, but still, we would like you to take additional steps for a safe and comfortable stay.

You can always ask for an extra warm blanket if you’re feeling cold. Most lodges have electricity, but sockets are a rarer find – although they exist in some rooms. Commonly, outlets are paid for their usage – around 200-300 rupees ($2-$3) per hour or for a single device charge.

You may come across shared facilities such as bathrooms and showers, with hot water usually provided at an additional fee. WiFi is a common feature in most lodges, but you’ll be expected to pay a nominal charge of around $2 – $3.

Meals

Breakfast is part of the package when you stay at hotels in Kathmandu. During your treks and hikes, you’ll also be provided three nutritious meals (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner) every day. Our package offers 21 meals, seven dinners, six lunches, and eight breakfasts.

The variety of food available in all the lodges is outstanding. One can experience a range of flavors, from traditional Nepali dishes such as Dal Bhat Tarkari to international favorites like Pizza, Momo, Chowmen, and Spring Rolls. You can usually find masala tea, Tibetan tea, Tongba, coffee, and fruit juices to quench your thirst during treks.

To confirm the trek/tour package, we want a deposit of at least 20% of the total tour/trek fee. The remaining balance must be paid when you arrive in Nepal. We take Visa, Maestro, MasterCard, American Express, and other major credit cards. The total cost of a Bhutan and Tibet tour must be paid in full at the time of booking.

We strongly advise you to purchase a SIM card for reliable internet access throughout Nepal. Nepal Telecom (owned by the government) and NCELL (owned by the private sector) are the two main SIM card providers in Nepal. It is preferable to get a SIM card at an airport, where staff will assist with activation and data plan purchases. If you have a SIM card, it will be easier for you to contact us and locate our airport agent.

You can charge your electrical devices at hotels and lodges because there are no power outages. In the Himalayan region, however, hotel owners may levy a nominal fee.

Trek difficulty

This trek and its itinerary have been carefully designed to be accessible to anyone with an adequate level of physical fitness, requiring no special climbing skills or advanced training. However, each day during the trekking will involve about 5-6 hours of walking.

The trail will be slightly uphill when you journey from Phakding to Namche Bazaar. But as you reach Jorsalle, be prepared for a steep uphill hike.

Walking for an extended period can be challenging if you’re not used to it, so preparing beforehand is critical. A month or two before the trek, try running, walking, or jogging for 4-5 hours at a stretch to get your body used to it and make it easier.

Best time for the trek

Everest View Trek is an enjoyable experience all year round. Still, its beauty can be fully appreciated during the springtime (March to May) when the hills are richly covered in lush green shades.

Another good time for this trek is autumn when the magnificent sight of snow-capped peaks and colorful foliage is a stunning contrast that will take your breath away. October and November are the perfect months to witness this spectacle as the leaves transform into unique hues.

Tourists can anticipate pleasant temperatures of up to 20°C daily during these periods. Furthermore, the trekking maps are well-marked, and having a trekking guide will make navigating the trails effortlessly.

With the highest trekking season in full swing, booking your reservations for the necessary rooms, guides, and porters is a good idea.

The Everest View trek can also be undertaken during the Summer/Monsoon season from June to August. Trekking during the monsoon season is a great way to save money and avoid tourist crowds. However, it would help if you were prepared to face some difficulties, such as leeches and muddy trails; moreover, there can be landslides and limited visibility due to foggy weather.

Trekkers can enjoy the Everest View Trek in January and February (Winter), although they should be prepared for heavy snowfall along their route.

One Typical Day

Trekkers who embark on the Everest View Trek experience a memorable day with incredible views. It begins before the sun rises and continues till midday when an hour lunch break is taken. The trek continues in the afternoon.

After a challenging but rewarding day of trekking, you’ll be able to relax in the comfort of a quaint village teahouse with beautiful star-filled night skies.

Your trekking experience begins on the second day with a hike from Lukla to Phakding. The third day is long, and you’ll be trekking for 5-6 hours to reach Namche Bazaar. Breaks in between will let you take some lunch and photos and soak in the beautiful surroundings.

By the fourth day of your journey, you’ll be at Syangboche, with a stunning view of the Khumbu region’s majestic mountains and beautiful hills.

Your next 4-day return stretch will take you back to the starting point of your adventure. This path should be more relaxed as most of it will be downhill.

Frequently Asked Questions

You don’t have much to worry about altitude sickness on this trek, with the top height being 3780 meters of Syangboche. Nevertheless, knowing the signs and symptoms of altitude sickness, such as headaches and lightheadedness, is still a good idea.

If you experience altitude sickness, slowly heading to a lower elevation is the best remedy. This should provide relief and improve your overall health.

Yes, tipping 20% of the total bill is typical. However, you can constantly adjust it depending on your satisfaction with the service. The pure mood of the trek was extraordinary while trekking from the lap of the world’s tallest peak. Impressive Trekking Package of Everest

In July, after packing everything, we flew across the Himalayas from Italy and landed in Nepal. The Peregrine tour operator met us at the airport and drove us to the hotel in a private vehicle, which was beautiful. With its variety of amenities, Kathmandu’s lodging services were excellent. We had the Lukla trip earlier in the morning, and after 30 minutes of spectacular flying and savoring the aerial view of the Alpine region, we cautiously landed at the Lukla. Our modest guide led us to the spectacular Everest region’s attractions. The teahouses were impressive, and the foods were superb throughout the trek. Easy Trek in Everest

Excellent service from beginning to end

The booking procedure was straightforward. We had six members in our group, and each of the two members had one guide. The porters were friendly and assisted us with our heavy backpacks from Lukla to the Khumjung. Luxurious hotels are another major highlight of the Everest Region. The view of the majestic Himalayas was heavenly. The guide even carried the first aid toolbox, which helped me a lot to prevent the infection of the insects and leeches while crossing the dense forest through the Sagaramatha national park area. The booking process was quite simple. In our group of six, there was one guide for every three people. From Lukla to the Khumjung, porters were helpful and pleasant, helping us carry our bulky baggage. Another essential draw of the Everest Region is the luxurious hotels. Fantastic Trek

Even though I didn’t put in a lot of training for my adventure, getting to the destination took significant effort. The guide kept me inspired throughout the trek and monitored my every movement. I had a very great time on the entire trek. It was great to pass through Namche Bazaar. The sherpa population in the Monjo hamlet was relatively modest, and from their settlement, they had a stunning view of Cho Oyu, Makalu, and Everest to the north. We were in constant contact with the peregrine tour representative throughout the trek. Everest View Trek with Peregrine

The natural beauty of Nepal’s eastern Himalayas was unforgettable. One of my favorite feelings was crossing suspension bridges in the high chilly air above the Dudh Koshi. I vividly recall trekking across the Khumjung Village’s countryside with yak and sheep. The Tengboche monasteries were stunning. The pleasant energy I sensed while being around Tengboche was marvelous. The adjacent monks were gracious and even educated me about some of the critical components of meditation. Snacks, dinners, and all of them together were delicious and satisfying. I recommend you do the Everest view trek with Peregrine since it was a very refreshing experience for me.
