Everest Base Camp Elevation (feet)
You can trek to the Northern or Southern Base Camps on your Everest Base Camp trek. The altitudes of each of these base camps are different. Everest Base Camp is situated at an altitude of 17,598 ft. To reach this altitude, you must engage in a strenuous workout that requires muscular fitness and climbing abilities. Furthermore, we will begin our climb at Lukla at an elevation of 950 ft. Trekking will also continue towards Phakding, with an elevation gain of 856 ft. We will have the opportunity to see lovely Sherpa villages as we gradually rise to Namche Bazaar at an elevation of 11,285 feet.
Similarly, Tengboche will be at an elevation of 12,850 ft, while Dingbouche will be at an elevation of 14,290 ft. Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (4,593 ft/1400m)

Day 2: Flight from Kathmandu to Lukla (9,350 ft/ 2,850m) and Trek to Phakding (8,562 ft/2,650m)
After a delicious morning meal, we will fly from Kathmandu to Lukla for approximately 30 minutes. We’ll fly to Lukla in a modest Twin Otter or Dornier plane. Similarly, the flight will be exhilarating because we will arrive at one of the world’s most dangerous airports.
Day 3: Trek from Phakding (8,562 ft/ 2,650m) to Namche Bazaar (11,285 ft/ 3,440m) – 5 to 6 hours
After a delicious breakfast, we will pass through several communities the next day and trek straight upwards from Phakding to Namche Bazaar. We will stop at various teahouses for lunch on the way between this trek and the Sherpa Settlements. We will also spend the night at Namche Bazaar.
Day 4: Trek from Namche Bazaar (11,285 ft/ 3,440m) to Tengboche (12,850 ft/ 3,855m) – 6 hours
Breakfast in the morning will give us the energy to start the day excitedly. After that, we’ll go straight uphill to Namche Bazaar. We’ll stop for lunch on the way to one of the neighborhood teahouses. Similarly, the magnificent Dudh Koshi will accompany you on your trek. The presence of wildlife and flora will accelerate this trek.
Similarly, we will arrive in Tengboche after a 6-hour trek. Later, we will visit the historic Tengboche Monastery and spend time relaxing in the Sherpa villages. We will spend the night in Tengboche.
Day 5: Trek from Tengboche to Dingbouche (14,290 ft/ 4,360m) – 5 hours
Within 6 hours of trekking, we will arrive in Dingboche from Tengboche on a new day full of adventure and vitality. We’ll climb to the eastern passes and see many Himalayan peaks, including Makalu, Cho Oyu, Lhotse, Everest, and possibly Kanchenjunga. We’ll also stop for lunch and a rest at one of the teahouses along the trail. We’ll spend the night in the quiet village of Dingboche.
Day 6: Acclimatization at Dingboche
Acclimatization is crucial during the Everest Base Camp Trek. The next day, we will rise to over 5000 meters. Acclimatization is also required to prepare in advance and rest. Today, we will explore Dingboche and enjoy a spectacular view of Ama Dablam, Island Peak, and Makalu. We’ll gain a lot of energy and be able to go on to higher elevations in the direction of Lobuche the next day.
Day 7: Trek from Dingbouche to Lobuche (16,175 ft/ 4,930m) – 6 hours
After a filling breakfast, we’ll ascend to the Lobuche. The atmosphere and scenery change as we steadily descend into the deep valley of the Everest Region. The cold weather and challenging hills will test our abilities, and the region’s natural components will constantly awaken us. Day 9: Trek to Kala Pathar (18,208ft/5555m) and descend back to Gorak Shep to Pheriche (13,945 ft/ 4,250m) – 6 hours

We’ll stop for dinner at one of the surrounding teahouses before continuing to Lukla along the Dudh Koshi River and several Sherpa towns. Finally, after we arrive in Lukla, we will spend the night there to prepare for our next flight to Kathmandu.
Day 12: Fly back to Kathmandu from Lukla
After a delicious breakfast, we’ll fly back to Kathmandu from Lukla in a twin Otter or Dornier plane. The trip will take around 35 minutes.
Day 13: Kathmandu Sightseeing
On this day, we will tour several temples in Kathmandu by vehicle. We will also see many antique monuments and UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Day 14: Departure
Within three hours, we will drop you off at the airport in a private vehicle, along with the necessary documentation and tickets. Finally, the Everest Base Camp Trekking trip concludes here. On this day, you will bid a kind farewell to Nepal.
Jiri to Everest Base Camp blog
The trek from Jiri to Everest Base Camp is an experience you should have at least once. The beautiful trails span from west to north and will present you with the most satisfactory trekking experience you’ve ever had. Jiri is an incredible hamlet situated at roughly 1,902 meters and is a dream destination for most tourists. Similarly, to reach Everest Base Camp, you must go a significant distance. Sherpas from Jiri and other mountainous areas traverse this trail to get to Lukla before the arrival of flights and road services.
The first day will consist of a 3-hour trek from Jiri to Deurali. At the Deurali, there are several teahouses to choose from. The trail follows the Gauri Shankar protected area to the north. Similarly, around 3 hours of trekking from Cheplung will get you to Monjo, where you will be fed and spend the night. Finally, you’ll arrive in Namche Bazaar after crossing Monjo and hiking a steep trail.
The trail then heads north, taking around three and a half hours to reach Tengboche. Similarly, reaching the lovely Sherpa Settlement Dingbouche takes more than three hours. You will rest and eat well while staying here overnight. The trial will now be identical to that of Everest Base Camp. You’ll go from Dingboche to Dughla in around 1 hour and 45 minutes. You will trek towards Lobuche, admiring the spectacular Himalayan scenery.
